Liminal Smile
A gaze fixed on nothing. And everything.
Not waiting. Not wanting. Just here.
It feeds itself quietly. Asks nothing of the world.
The smile exists— just beyond the threshold.
In autumn 2025, the work began again. That winter—
the Eye Series: Ode to Scars, Liminal Smile, The Gazing Vessel. Three at once, as clay demands.
The eye is an obsession. First, the clay was set free.
Then, when the moment came— the form was sharpened.
